Autumn 2016

Chose not to send the warm leggings to daughter, but rather to wear them myself underneath jeans and with woolly socks, four extra layers and then a vastly padded jacket. Cold.

So ironed. All short sleeved shirts are now bundled up and bagged into the top shelf of a bedroom cupboard. Long sleeved shirts half way through being ironed. Still cold.

Ate properly all through day with a nod to both quantity and quality. Checked hydration. Tried warming teas and soups. Still cold.

Kept moving, didn’t pile up stuff to go upstairs but actually ran up and down stairs each time. Still Cold.

Pulled hood up.

Warm!

In addition the massively warm winter quilt has come into use ~ but isn’t that a trifle early, in September…?

Cold obviously affected brain as i managed to inadvertently call youngest son on WhatsApp. Horrified to find his face staring at me and the dialing tone echoing around our room, proceeded to jump up and down whilst simultaneously shouting at the phone.

On record:

“Autumn (a season that i usually adore) has this year, arrive way too early”
